I was chatting with a friend online and she's traditional artist, and we were talking about digital art, so I decided to show her what she could do with Daz, she like it but I think she's going to stick to the pencil and paper lol

Sometimes I hear people argue that using 3d tools like Daz Studio isn't art. What's your opinion on the subject?
ReplyDeleteI think this is the reason why hentai foundry doesn't accept a lot of 3D art, because they don't view this as an art form.
DeletePersonally I think anything that allows one to bring forth their creative nature should be considered art, whether you use a paint brush, a pencil, a camera or a 3D program.
I think the argument as to why people don't think 3D is art is because we buy everything, we don't completely create from scratch where as a painter or such would, but then I raise the point is photography art, because for the most part it's the same.
But in the end like I said before, I believe anything that allows one to bring forth their creative nature, is art regardless if someone else disagree.
Hell to me a painting of splashes of paint isn't art to me or an old boot with a banana, that's just my personal opinion,
But to the person who created it and the people who enjoyed it, it's art and that's fair enough.
Well said. I like to think 3d combines elements of photography and sculpture, because when you customize a character's face and body, then pose them, you're basically acting as a sculptor in a sense.
DeleteI have to say people that 3d isn't art. They have no idear what art is. myself use 3d progam to make my ponyplay art and sitting pose art.
